Environment

Although the temptation will be great to remain sequestered away in your private cottage retreat, we’re sure the eucalyptus-fresh air and bush surrounds will eventually lure you outdoors!

Melding gently with the surrounding bushland, Aurora Bush Cottages have been designed to minimise their impact on the environment.

The cottages are built on 33 hectares of virgin bushland, all of which are covenanted by the Trust for Nature. This means the resident flora and fauna will be forever protected for your enjoyment.

Birdwatchers will delight in the abundance of birdlife around the cottages, including the majestic wedge-tail eagle. The dense, low-land shrub provides the perfect habitat for many species of nectar-loving birds.

They share their bushland home with several resident kangaroos and wallabies, echidnas, blue-tongue lizards, possums, koalas and emus.

The Grampians region contains more than 800 indigenous plant species, 20 of which are found nowhere else in the world.

During the spring, the entire area bursts into a colourful display of native wildflowers, including heath, Grampians boronia, thryptomene and many other flowering species. October is the best time to view this colourful wildflower show.

Imagine... your own, five-star luxury retreat in the beautiful Grampians.

Hidden away from the world on 42 hectares of virgin bushland, Aurora Bush Cottages is a sanctuary of calm for couples.
